***OOU PROTEST UPDATE***

***OOU PROTEST UPDATE***
The best place to start on yesterday government madness in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye, Ogun state is to inform the general public that contrary to the news that went virile on social media of police killing 2 students. Truthfully, no student(s) was shot dead. Unconfirmed report said one science student named AYO was shot but alive. The dead person picture released as nothing to do with yesterday protest. The picture that was in circulation on social media yesterday did not occur in the protest, the person in the picture was killed by cultist in ijebu igbo on sunday.

Yesterday protest was called by the Students' Union, to stop the faculty of law examination pending the time the imbroglio will be resolved as the starting of the examination will make the battle a lost one. In a peaceful and constitutional manner, students stood in front of the school gate, with SSS(State Security Service) who having discussed with the union president, OMOJAY realized the real issue and the heartless of School Authority and demon government thereby advising us to be peaceful as they won't disturb us in our peaceful gathering . Not quite long, the Area commander and Abobi police station DPO came in who maintained the status quo until the Assistant Commissioner came and asked us to go home which we rejected as peaceful protest is constitutional. In a twinkle of an eye, he ordered his men to fire. Yes! They fired with real bullet and tear gas and this led to pendulum; students running for safety into bush and many arrested were brutalized beyond identification with guns and shoes. But those that was arrested have been released.
As those that ran into the bush carried different degree of injuries and some lost consciousness as the police continue to fire tear gas and arresting those who they see in the bush.

The VC said on channel yesterday that Examination will start on Wednesday with faculty of Law starting the semester exam first.

The portal is open for 2days for returning students to make their payment at mini campus.
